We further analyzed the Top 10 Websites of both platforms for their server response and found that most of Shopify’s website’s avg serve response time is 350-400ms, Whereas the Ecwid website’s avg speed response time is 380-400ms. that means websites hosted on Shopify load faster in comparison to Ecwid.
Shopify when tested with Ecwid had better loading and uptime speed on both desktop and mobile hence, Shopify has a slight edge over Ecwid.
